The Sweet Peas are blooming and I like to pick these beautiful blossoms early in the morning, fresh with the fragrance of heaven.

When I bring them in to the house they perfume the whole room. Although I am so fond of most every flower, these are my favorite.

I recently returned from a trip to Atlanta to attend the Summer Gift Show there. It was a quick trip for a sales meeting and signing event and back on the plane home. We now have a new sales agency there who will be selling our line to the accounts in the Southeast. The agency is 225 Unlimited, Inc.

I arrived in Atlanta in the early evening just in time to watch a summer storm come in out my hotel window.

On the way home I photographed Mt Hood as we were about to land in Portland.

Every year it is a celebration when the roses bloom on the front side-walk trellis. The City of York white roses cover the whole trellis, but this year the David Austin roses of gold, corals and pink intertwined high up the sides to show off their beauty and add to the bouquet of fragrance.  The beauty and fragrance were intoxicating.

The roses are lovely, but my favorites are the three darlings; Maddie and Elle and my Caitlin taking the time to smell the roses.

Earlier this week on our daily walk after lunch, I shot these photographs. Flower petals and cottonwood seeds surrounded by a cottony substance cover the ground in delicate profusion.

On my walk early this morning I photographed these peony buds. These images express the concept of expectancy as well as anything I know.

And in the now; the tender edges, pink veins and revealed folds of deep pink petals have no equal in beauty. It is possible to miss them, but we discover them in the careful focus and attention to detail.
