LILY-OF-HOPE-ANGEL-CELEBRATES-SUMMER
My Lily of Hope Angel stands in front of a favorite watercolor of mine in the living room. It seemed just right to put her in front of a field of flowers full of color and light.
She holds a heart with a lily bursting forth. So many thoughts come to my mind about all the symbols of this image. Hope is such a necessary ingredient for happiness. Hope sweetens our love and gives it life. As we share hope it strengthens ourselves and those we share it with.

TABLESCAPE-OF-ANGELS1
The evening light coming in my north window in the summer creates a lovely mood for my angel collection.

MORNING-LIGHT
Early morning and late evening light create my favorite views in the garden. When the angle of light is low the contrasts and shadows are strong and create images that are distinct and powerful.

Azaleas and bleeding hearts are blooming along the pathway on the east side of my house. Two large chartreuse privet bushes are growing wildly behind the first arch and trimmed boxwood line the path on either side. A flagstone path and stone steps lead you down the hill and through four ivy arches to visit a giant elm tree that is a canopy for most of the back yard.
